Come Share a Pint from the Past!

Opening on May 7th, 2010.

Opened to the public in June 2009, Black Creek Historic Brewery is located in the heart of beautiful Black Creek Pioneer Village. Here we have recreated a working brewery, as it would have been in the mid-1800s. Our brewers, in period costume, handcraft the same ales and porters enjoyed in Ontario’s country villages before Confederation.

Visitors to the Village can enjoy a lively brewery tour led by our knowledgeable interpreters, starting daily in the Half Way House Tap Room at 12:30 and 3 p.m.

This unique historic tour ends with a tasting of authentic period ales, and visitors are welcome to stay afterwards to enjoy a cold pint in our cozy on-site pub, or take home a Growler of beer - a 64-ounce refillable jug that was commonly used in the 1800s to transport beer.

Cheers!
